Pop Star Noa Kirel Takes on International Acting in New Drama Series
Israeli pop star Noa Kirel discusses her new international series 'Mírame Así: El Camino De Noa', mastering Spanish scripts, and her role as a judge on 'The Voice'.

Noa Kirel, one of Israel's most prominent pop stars and actresses, is expanding her career onto the international stage with a starring role in the new series "Mírame Así: El Camino De Noa". Breaking into the music scene at just 14 years old in 2015 with her debut single "Medabrim", Kirel has since released a string of chart-topping hits including "Pouch", "Million Dollar", "Yahalomim", and "Paamon". Her career reached a major milestone in 2023 when she represented Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, securing a third-place finish in the grand final with her song "Unicorn".
Her latest venture follows the journey of a young waitress who joins a musical band and becomes entangled in a love triangle alongside Argentine musician Agustín Bernasconi. Speaking to local media ahead of the series premiere, Kirel shared her excitement about launching an international project. "It is crazy that I am doing a project abroad and only afterward it is launched at home. Everything feels very big and international. This is the thing I dreamed of the most, and it is a lot of fun," she said.
Overcoming Language Barriers and Facing Public Scrutiny
Filming the international series came with significant challenges, most notably mastering the Spanish language for her role. Kirel revealed that learning 650 pages of script in Spanish while fully comprehending her lines and her co-star's dialogue was the most demanding challenge of her career. Addressing media reports regarding a viral kissing scene during production—which later turned out to involve a body double rather than Kirel herself—the singer dismissed the controversy as minor compared to the scale of the overall project.
Alongside her international acting debut, Kirel currently serves as a judge on the singing competition television show "The Voice" broadcast in Israeli media. Commenting on her continuous dedication to her craft regardless of television ratings, Kirel emphasized her commitment to delivering her best performance in every endeavor.
