British Pop Star Boy George Visits Western Wall Ahead of Tel Aviv Concerts
British pop star Boy George visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem ahead of his Tel Aviv concerts, reflecting on his late mother and praying for peace alongside Sylvan Adams.

British pop icon Boy George visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem on Monday, marking his third day in Israel ahead of his upcoming concerts in Tel Aviv. Accompanied by prominent figures, the singer placed a note between the ancient stones and reflected on his late mother, Dina O'Dowd, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 84.
Standing before the sacred site, Boy George shared an emotional personal moment. "When I stand here at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, I think of my mother, who would have loved to be here, of my father, and of all the people close to my heart," he said, noting that there are places where one can intensely feel the presence of loved ones. The visit served as a moment of gratitude, introspection, and prayer for peace.
The tour is hosted by Sylvan Adams, President of the World Jewish Congress in Israel, with coordination by Live Nation Israel and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Adams praised the artist's steadfast support despite international pressure. "Boy George and I stood together today at the Western Wall and prayed for the peace of Israel, our neighbors, and the entire world," Adams stated, highlighting the singer's courage in choosing to perform and support Nova festival survivors and bereaved families.
Boy George's schedule includes a performance at Menora Mivtachim Arena featuring special guest Ivri Lider, followed by a visit to the Nova festival memorial site in Re'im. A second concert is dedicated to the Nova community, featuring DJ Ofer Nissim, with 1,500 tickets distributed to survivors and families.
