Netanya Man Indicted for Rape and Forcible Indecent Acts Against Two Women

The Central District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment at the Central District Court against 26-year-old Dolev Chayoun from Netanya, charging him with two counts of rape and forcible indecent acts against two young women.

Today (Tuesday), the court permitted the publication of the defendant's name after accepting the prosecution's opposition to a request for a gag order. The implementation of the decision was delayed until today.

According to the indictment, filed by Adv. Einav Vinograd from the Central District Prosecutor's Office, Chayoun met the two complainants, both in their twenties, at bars in the central region, where one of them worked as a bartender. The prosecution alleges that after meeting one of the complainants, he offered to drive her home. However, during the ride, he changed the route and brought her to his apartment. There, according to the charges, he snatched her cell phone, kissed her against her will despite her attempts to push him away and her pleas to stop, and committed acts of rape.

In the second incident, the indictment states that the second complainant drove Chayoun to his home at his request. Upon arrival, when she asked him to exit the vehicle, he unbuckled her seatbelt, knocked the cell phone from her hand, and forcibly kissed her without her consent. The charges specify that he continued to perform indecent acts despite her demands to stop, until she managed to push him out of the vehicle and drive away. While driving home, Chayoun allegedly continued to call her repeatedly, until she was eventually involved in a car accident on Highway 6.

The prosecution has requested that Chayoun be detained until the conclusion of legal proceedings against him, citing the severe danger he poses to the public. The motion notes that these involved two separate incidents committed against two young women several months apart.
