A significant weather shift is arriving across Israel, bringing intermittent rain, thunderstorms, and a notable drop in temperatures that will plunge readings below seasonal averages. According to meteorological forecasts, unsettled conditions will persist over the weekend and into the early part of the week.

Precipitation is expected to stretch from the north of the country down to the northern Negev, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms. Forecasters warn of potential localized flooding in coastal cities, particularly along the central and southern coastal plains, as well as flash floods in the streams of the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea area.

Brisk westerly winds will sweep across most regions, ushering in cooler air. Temperatures in major cities are projected to range between 16 and 22 degrees Celsius in Tel Aviv, 13 and 16 degrees in Jerusalem, 17 and 21 degrees in Haifa, and 21 and 25 degrees in Eilat.

By Monday, skies will remain partly cloudy with temperatures staying below seasonal norms, while brisk northerly winds pick up along the coast in the afternoon. A gradual warming trend is anticipated by Tuesday, though conditions will continue to feel slightly cooler than usual for this time of year.
