Luxury Vehicles Destroyed in Netanya Explosion Near Hotel
A massive explosion near the Vert Lagoon Hotel in Netanya destroyed a Mercedes-Benz GLE and a luxury Ferrari Purosangue, causing millions in damages with no injuries reported.

A dramatic incident unfolded near the Vert Lagoon Hotel in Netanya, a busy area close to the promenade and numerous commercial complexes. Miraculously, the event resulted in no injuries, but caused heavy property damage as millions of shekels went up in flames within minutes.
According to witnesses at the nearby hotel, a powerful explosion was first heard coming from a Mercedes-Benz GLE. This luxury SUV commands a price ranging from approximately 630,000 shekels for base models to over 890,000 shekels for higher trims in Israel.
The true financial escalation followed quickly: due to the blast, flames spread rapidly and completely consumed the vehicle parked right next to it—a Ferrari Purosangue, the Italian brand's first ultra-luxury sports utility vehicle. Its official price in Israel starts at around 3.325 million shekels and can easily reach nearly 4 million shekels depending on added options.
Police forces and firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and prevent the flames from spreading to additional vehicles and nearby buildings. The Israel Police launched an investigation into the circumstances, though no official motives or suspicions of criminal background have been disclosed thus far.
