Indictment Filed in Haifa Court for Decades-Old Child Sexual Offenses
The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment in the Haifa District Court against a Tverya resident in his 50s for severe sexual offenses committed against minors two decades ago.
The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment in the Haifa District Court against a resident of Tverya in his 50s, charging him with numerous sexual offenses allegedly committed approximately two decades ago against two brothers who were then about nine years old. In addition, he is accused of abusing their sister several years later outside the borders of Israel.
According to the indictment, the defendant formed a close relationship with the children's mother, gained her trust and theirs, and falsely presented himself as a therapeutic professional. Subsequently, he allegedly exploited this relationship and the young age of the siblings to commit various sexual offenses against them over a prolonged period and with high frequency.
In some instances, the prosecution claims, the defendant prevented one of the brothers from leaving the premises and instructed him to keep the acts secret. The defendant faces charges of sodomy involving a minor, indecent acts involving minors, causing indecent acts involving a minor, and false imprisonment.
Pursuant to a court order, the publication of the defendant's name or any details that could lead to the identification of the complainants is prohibited. Furthermore, publishing the contents of the indictment and the remand request beyond the details released in the official statement by the State Attorney's Office is forbidden.
