Police in southern Israel seized a substantial cache of weapons and cash during a series of targeted operations over the past week in Rahat and Bedouin diaspora communities in the Negev. According to the Israel Police, the raids were launched following intelligence regarding ongoing criminal feuds between families and imminent shooting threats. At least 16 suspects have been detained.

In Tel Sheva, officers and Border Guard personnel responded to reports of gunfire and arrested a local resident after discovering a loaded pistol with a round in the chamber. Concurrently, operations in Rahat and the Tarabin area led to the seizure of a Glock 19 pistol, ammunition, and 25,000 shekels in cash during a search of a suspect's home.

Additional raids across Hura, Ar'ara in the Negev, and Kuseife uncovered multiple M-16 assault rifles, handguns, weapon parts, and roughly 250,000 shekels in cash in Hura alone. Authorities emphasized that these coordinated sweeps by southern district police units, tactical teams, and the Border Guard aim to curb illegal arms trafficking and violent crime within the region.
