A 26-year-old father from southern Israel was indicted for repeatedly assaulting his one-month-old infant daughter, causing severe, life-threatening injuries.

The Southern District Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment at the Beersheba District Court against a 26-year-old father from the south, charging him with repeatedly assaulting his one-month-old infant daughter, causing severe and life-threatening injuries.
According to the indictment submitted by Attorney Hila Klapper Cohen, the father inflicted multiple fractures and internal bleeding on the baby during several incidents. The injuries required five days of hospitalization, during which the infant was sedated and placed on a respirator.
The medical treatment included inserting a chest tube and stabilizing a broken thigh bone. Prosecutors emphasized the extreme severity of the actions against a helpless infant under the defendant's care, charging him with multiple counts of assaulting a minor by a responsible party resulting in severe injury.
