A 22-year-old young woman was seriously injured overnight from gunfire in the Bedouin community of Umm Batin in the Negev desert. Magen David Adom (MDA) rescue teams rushed to the scene, providing initial medical treatment before evacuating her to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. Paramedics reported that the victim arrived in an unstable condition with a clouded level of consciousness.

This incident follows a series of violent events across Israel. Police recently opened a murder investigation in the Sharon region after three young relatives—brothers Yazan (16) and Qasem Odeh (20), along with their cousin Yahya Basmiya (22) from Jaljulia—were found dead inside a burned vehicle near Baqa al-Gharbiyye.

Additional shooting incidents occurred earlier in the week, including a 14-year-old boy critically wounded in Kafr Kanna in the Lower Galilee and a 16-year-old adolescent seriously injured in a shooting in Jaljulia, who was evacuated to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.
