The National Insurance Institute has launched a digital awareness campaign encouraging parents to increase their children's monthly savings under the "Savings for Every Child" program and select suitable investment tracks. The initiative highlights that a few simple steps on the agency's website can double monthly contributions and significantly boost accumulated funds by adulthood.

Since its inception in 2017, the program enables eligible children to accumulate funds until age 18. As of January 1, 2026, the agency deposits 58 NIS monthly for each child alongside the regular child allowance. Parents can choose to contribute an additional 58 NIS from the allowance, doubling the monthly deposit to 116 NIS.

According to data presented by the institute, choosing high-risk provident funds with a five-year average return starting from 2026 could yield an estimated 63,178 NIS by age 21 with a 58 NIS monthly deposit, while doubling the deposit raises the projected sum to 122,639 NIS. In low-risk provident funds, the projected amounts stand at 23,951 NIS and 46,227 NIS respectively, whereas bank savings plans yield approximately 21,000 NIS and 42,000 NIS.

The institute warns that if parents fail to select a savings track within six months of a child's birth, a default track is assigned without doubled contributions. Statistics show that roughly 50% of newborns lack active parental involvement in track selection. Parents can manage tracks and contributions through the National Insurance Institute website, while the agency covers all management fees until age 21.
