Naftali Bennett, former Prime Minister and head of the "Behad" list running in the 26th Knesset elections, sat down with us to discuss the key changes he intends to implement in each of the areas that interest 18-25 year olds.
Equality in burden-sharing
"I will not pay a shekel to anyone who does not enlist, and therefore tens of thousands of young Haredim will enlist."
— Arabs too?
"Also. The army will decide who it wants for the army and who it wants for something else."
Personal security
"I will dismantle the three criminal organizations – Jarushi, Al-Hariri, and Abu Latif."
— And how will this affect me in the end?
"You will feel much more protected."
Cost of living
"I will dismantle the monopolies."
Housing crisis
"Every active reservist will receive one million shekels for an apartment."
Education
"We will cancel the 12th grade and turn it into a preparatory year for all students in Israel."
— What is the most important thing in your opinion?
"To enlist the Haredim and bring them into the economy so they pay taxes. This will lower prices and make it easier for all citizens of the State of Israel."
— What will be your guiding principle as Prime Minister?
"To ensure that the government works for the citizens, and not for the politicians."
— How will you bring young people to the ballot box?
"This is your future. If you want us to fix the country, for there to be fewer traffic jams, for prices to go down, for there to be security, and fewer reserve duties — you must go out and vote."
— One last thing, on a personal note?
"I love this people so much, and I am so sure that we can fix this country together."
