Mustafa Sheikh Youssef signs for another season at Bnei Sakhnin
After initially missing team training, Mustafa Sheikh Youssef has signed a one-year contract extension with Bnei Sakhnin, continuing under manager Yossi Abukasis. The 30-year-old midfielder made his Premier League debut last season, recording three goals and one assist in 26 appearances.
Mustafa Sheikh Youssef has officially signed a contract for another season at Bnei Sakhnin and will continue to play under Yossi Abukasis. The 30-year-old midfielder received his first career opportunity in the Premier League last season and showed good ability with three league goals and an assist in 26 matches. Previously, he starred in the National League with 10 goals for Hapoel Kfar Saba in 2024/25, having also played for Ihud Bnei Shefa-Amr, Ironi Tiberias, M.S. Tzeirei Tayibe, Baqa al-Gharbiyye, Hapoel Rishon LeZion, and Bnei Lod.
New arrival Luai Halaf, who joined from Maccabi Netanya, held his first training session and may be in the squad for the home match against Hapoel Haifa on Saturday night, in the third round of Group A of the Toto Cup. Sakhnin opened the competition with a 2-1 loss to Ironi Tiberias and was the free team in the second round.
Before Halaf, Sakhnin signed Carlitos, Niv Livnat, Modestas Vorobjovas, Iyad Abu Abaid, Sanna Gomes, Raul Belbrau, and Amit Kardi. In addition, Ahmed Taha and Basil Khoury returned to the squad after their loan spells in January.
