Less than a year later and with weak reports: The Ackerstein family is replacing CEO Amit Lang
Amit Lang is stepping down as CEO of the Ackerstein Group less than a year after his appointment. Zvika Ackerstein will take over as CEO following a 51% decline in the company's net profit for the first half of 2026.

Less than a year after taking office as CEO of the Ackerstein Group, Amit Lang is ending his tenure. Lang, former CEO of Mekorot, was appointed to the position about a year ago and began serving in it last January. Lang replaced Ehud Danoch, who moved to manage Inrom.
Now the Ackerstein family, the controlling shareholders of the company, has decided to take back the management of the group, and Zvika Ackerstein has been appointed CEO in place of Lang. Zvika is the son of Giora Ackerstein, who serves as the company's chairman. The decision was made against the backdrop of a deterioration in the company's results in the first two quarters of 2026.
Ackerstein's net profit in the first half of the year totaled 16.5 million shekels, a decrease of about 51% compared to 33.8 million shekels in the corresponding half. The company's revenues totaled 400 million shekels, a decrease of about 12% compared to 454 million shekels in the corresponding period.
Ackerstein stated:
«The group will return to the previous management structure. This step is intended to ensure tighter control over the production chain, optimization of the operational system, and the establishment of the industrial arm as a central and powerful engine in the group while presenting maximum long-term profitability.»
Alongside the change in the CEO position, Ackerstein announced that Giora will move to the position of company president, and it will work to appoint a new chairman as well as a new CEO for Ackerstein Industries.
Zvika Ackerstein, the incoming CEO of the Ackerstein Group, said:
«The Ackerstein Group thanks Amit Lang for his work and wishes him success in his future path. Out of a deep commitment to the company, its employees, and the investing public, we have decided to make the necessary changes to strengthen the management backbone in the field of operations and production, which constitute the core of our work. I am convinced that the accumulated experience of the group's management and the managerial steps we are taking now will ensure the continued leadership of the Ackerstein Group in the market.»
