Yonatan Shalev from the "Behad" party, led by Naftali Bennett, has filed a formal complaint at the Lev Tel Aviv police station regarding death threats received via social media, N12 has learned.
The complaint centers on a personal message stating: "Look carefully to the right and left when you walk down the street if you want to live." The sender further warned Shalev that "soon you will see wonders." The "Behad" party has confirmed the details of the incident.
A police source told N12 that there has been a recent increase in threats directed at public figures. Consequently, cyber departments are taking extensive measures to identify the individuals behind these threats and bring them in for questioning before they can act upon them.
"We are working 24/7 to maintain the safety of public representatives and to act with a heavy hand against those who attempt to intimidate them online and in general," the source stated.
