Maccabi Tel Aviv Crushes Hapoel Ramat Gan 5-0 to Retain Top Spot
Maccabi Tel Aviv crushed Hapoel Ramat Gan 5-0 to reclaim the Premier League summit, securing their first clean-sheet win of the season behind goals from Sokler, Madmon, and Peretz.

Maccabi Tel Aviv expressed great satisfaction following their 5-0 victory over Hapoel Ramat Gan, which allowed them to retain the top spot in the Premier League standings. The convincing win served as a strong response after losing the Toto Cup final to Hapoel Tel Aviv last Thursday.
Club officials noted the psychological importance of bouncing back quickly from a derby defeat. "It is never easy to approach a match after losing a cup final, especially a derby," club sources said. "However, the team reacted well, scored early to open up the game, and ultimately secured first place."
Beyond maintaining the league lead, the match marked Maccabi Tel Aviv's first clean-sheet victory of the domestic league season. While the team had previously recorded two scoreless draws against Bnei Sakhnin and Beitar Jerusalem, this performance combined defensive solidity with offensive dominance.
Manager Kenny Miller's side also benefited from goals across their primary attacking options. Substitute Aster Sokler netted a brace, though he expressed slight disappointment at missing a late penalty kick. Meanwhile, Elad Madmon opened the scoring early with a header, and Dor Peretz added his 10th goal of the campaign, keeping him on track to contend for the league's top scorer title.
Midfielder Itamar Noy, who earned a rare start under Miller, delivered an impressive performance in the center of the pitch. Although Hapoel Ramat Gan provided limited resistance, analysts noted that Noy's quality merits more regular playing time.
Maccabi Tel Aviv will look to maintain their momentum on Friday when they face Maccabi Petah Tikva at Bloomfield Stadium, aiming to enter the international and pitch-reseeding break as league leaders.
