Parents of two eighth-grade students at a school in Ma'ale Adumim have filed a police complaint against two ninth-grade girls following a violent assault caught on camera. The footage shows the older students severely beating the victims in front of their classmates, who reportedly did not intervene.

"From the moment I watched the video, in which my daughter was relentlessly beaten for long minutes while classmates stood by and did nothing, I have been unable to function from pain and shock," the father of one of the victims told the press. Following the complaint, the suspects were detained for questioning and subsequently released to five days of house arrest under restrictive conditions.

According to the victims, the attack was unprovoked and erupted after the assailants claimed one of the girls "looked at them" and "spoke loudly." The father expressed deep concern not only over the brutality of the assault, which left his daughter with a black eye and bruises, but also over the bystander apathy displayed by other students who watched the incident unfold.

Call for Permanent Expulsion

The victim managed to escape further injury when a friend rushed to her aid and was also targeted. The father noted that his daughter, an honor student, is now severely traumatized and fears returning to school. He demanded the permanent expulsion of the attackers to another educational framework, insisting that schools must remain safe environments.

The Ministry of Education issued a statement condemning the violence: "The severe violence documented in this incident is intolerable and has no place in the educational system. District professionals are closely accompanying the school administration in handling this matter on both disciplinary and educational levels."
