Iran insists: "The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed"
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Tehran will not allow the USA to dictate the terms of ending the war, emphasizing that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. He also warned the patrons of President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the consequences of his actions and addressed the nuclear issue.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Monday that Tehran will not allow the USA to dictate the terms for ending the war, and emphasized that the situation remains unchanged — the Strait of Hormuz continues to be closed. He further added that intermediaries had conveyed messages from the USA, but according to him, they are not currently speaking directly with Washington.
In addition, the spokesperson, Baghaei, addressed the Ukrainian front and warned the patrons of President Volodymyr Zelensky that they must be careful lest the consequences of his actions harm them as well. He defined the Ukrainian attack against the Iranian ship as an unjustified act that contradicts international law, and promised that it would not remain without a response.
Baghaei further emphasized that the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes is "a right for everyone." In response to the nuclear agreement signed between the USA and Saudi Arabia, he said:
"I am expressing our position. The reason for the pressures exerted against Iran was precisely Iran's realization of its right. We leave it to the world to judge."
Against the backdrop of these events, US President Donald Trump published harsh messages toward Iran last night on his social network using images created by artificial intelligence, while at the same time reports continue regarding an exchange of messages between Washington and Tehran.
In one of the images published by Donald Trump, an attack scenario is shown on Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf, a central hub in the Iranian oil industry. In another image, the American president is seen on the deck of an oil tanker, alongside the US flag, with the Iranian flag placed on the vessel. Above the image it was written: "This is our oil tanker now."
The publications come after 13 days of military confrontation between the USA and Iran, and after a relative lull was maintained in the last day without attacks between the sides. At the same time, messages were heard from both sides indicating an attempt to keep communication channels open.
