Likud Petitions to Block Fly&Vote Initiative for Israelis Abroad
Likud petitioned the Central Election Committee to halt the Fly&Vote initiative, alleging illegal voter incentives for Israelis abroad.
Likud filed a petition with the Central Election Committee demanding an immediate halt to the activities of the "Israeli Camp" organization and its Fly&Vote initiative, which encourages Israelis abroad to return home to vote.
The initiative reportedly offers Israelis abroad $250 daily gift cards for up to three days. Likud argues this constitutes illegal election-related benefits and unregulated campaigning.
Likud requests an injunction against the gift card distribution, a halt to promotional activities, and mandates for organizers to register as an "active election body" complying with transparency laws.
AID Coalition, operating the Fly&Vote project, responded: "We received Likud's petition attempting to deny Israeli citizens—those who boarded planes to fight on October 7, pay taxes, and engage in their homeland—the right and duty to shape Israel's future. We will review the petition and respond accordingly."
