Lapid Accuses Netanyahu of Attempting to Undermine Election Results
Opposition leader Yair Lapid accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to undermine election results. The probe follows classified information on alleged foreign funding.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid has accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to undermine the results of the democratic elections simply because he lost the vote.
In a strongly worded statement released on Monday, Lapid claimed that Netanyahu and his allies are organizing protests and inventing conspiracy theories to challenge the democratic outcome. Lapid pointed out that ISA Director David Zini and Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg both supported the position that the current suspicions under review are insufficient to alter the overall election results.
"This is an attempt to dismantle Israeli democracy, and we will not let it happen," Lapid wrote. "In a democratic state, the winners form a government and the losers head to the opposition. That is how it will be."
Meanwhile, the investigation stems from classified information regarding alleged foreign funding aimed at influencing the elections, which Justice Solberg characterized as serious. While a joint team consisting of the ISA, police, and prosecutors continues the probe, Solberg noted that existing evidence does not invalidate the election as a whole.
The Likud party criticized these preliminary conclusions, emphasizing that a narrow margin of 4,612 votes separated Ra'am from shifting a mandate to the right-wing bloc. The Central Election Committee announced that official results will be published by Wednesday, November 4, allowing time for final auditing and error corrections.
