Sources close to both politicians emphasized that the meeting does not represent an alliance against Gadi Eisenkot, but rather a strategic effort to view the election through a broader bloc-wide perspective.
Bennett clarified that following the election, he will accept the bloc's collective decision regarding the candidate for prime minister. Similarly, Lieberman stressed the importance of the overall bloc outcome, arguing that even a significant achievement by Eisenkot's party would be insufficient if the broader camp fails to reach the 61-seat threshold.
