Secrets of Donald Trump's "Human Printer" Revealed
Natalie Harp, Trump's personal aide, accompanies him almost everywhere and is considered one of the figures closest to him in the White House. Now her brother tells of a rift between them and claims that her connection with the president has become an "unhealthy obsession."
In Washington, everyone has been talking about one name in recent weeks: Natalie. The personal aide to US President Donald Trump, 35-year-old Natalie Harp, has become a focus of attention and criticism from both sides of the aisle. According to a comprehensive investigation published in the Wall Street Journal, Harp accompanies Trump almost everywhere, stands out of frame at events in the Oval Office, flies with him around the world on Air Force One, and manages his social media posts.
The storm around Harp intensified when Democratic Senator from Georgia, Jon Ossoff, took a jab at the president, claiming that he prefers to "travel with Natalie" instead of doing the hard work required of a commander-in-chief. The remark drew angry reactions from Trump supporters. The White House communications director responded with a blunt insult, and conservative broadcasters accused Ossoff of sexism, while fiercely defending the woman considered one of the most powerful and closest to the president.
"Unhealthy obsession" and the ride in the trunk
But while Harp enjoys an almost immune status in the White House, the picture within her family is completely different. In an interview with CNN, her brother, Preston Harp, revealed that the two have been estranged for several years. Preston did not spare criticism and described his sister's relationship with the president as blind adoration.
"It's an unhealthy obsession," the brother said in an interview with CNN. "Trump loves people who are his fan club, and she is his biggest fan."
The brother provided a disturbing glimpse into the extent of his sister's devotion. According to him, in October 2023, when Trump left Trump Tower for a court hearing in Manhattan, a commotion developed over seating arrangements in the motorcade. When there was no free seat left for her, Harp refused to give up. "She jumped into the trunk of one of the SUVs in the motorcade just to get to the court appearance," Preston shared. "It's really sad, it's an unhealthy obsession to jump into the trunk of a car."
The human printer who beat cancer
The close bond between Harp and Trump was born out of tragedy. About a decade ago, Harp was diagnosed with stage 2 bone cancer. She attributes her survival to a law that Trump signed in 2018, which allows terminally ill patients to use experimental drugs. She even left her job as a presenter on the conservative network OAN to work under him. However, her brother Preston was quick to dampen the enthusiasm: "Trump didn't pay for her treatment out of his own pocket; insurance paid for the experimental drugs. She just hasn't broken free from the illusion that Mom raised us on." According to him, Natalie has suffered from an obsession with politics since the age of 16, and even used to write letters to previous presidents, such as George Bush during the Iraq War.
The Wall Street Journal reports that in the White House, Harp earned the nickname "the human printer" after she began accompanying Trump to golf courses equipped with a printer, ready to print articles for him. She holds direct access to the president's Truth Social account and serves as a filter for information reaching his desk. Senior officials in the administration testified that she reports solely to Trump and sometimes causes frustration when she presents him with incorrect content from far-right groups. "She is the only person who really cares about me," Trump remarked during one of the flights, a testament to the unusual status of the aide who is willing to ride in the trunk to the end of the world for him.
