International Actors Warn Lebanon to Remain Neutral Amid Regional Tensions
International actors urged Lebanon to remain neutral amid potential Israel-Iran escalation. Meanwhile, US mediation withdrawal talks in Florida ended in failure.

International actors have urged Lebanon to remain strictly neutral in the event of any escalation between Israel and Iran, according to diplomatic sources cited by Lebanese broadcaster Al-Jadeed on Thursday.
The sources warned against potential Hezbollah intervention in a wider regional conflict. Additionally, the report indicated that the United States intends to withdraw from mediation efforts between Israel and Lebanon, pressing both sides to conduct direct negotiations instead. The Lebanese side rejected this proposal, leading diplomatic sources to describe this week's talks in Tampa, Florida, as a failure.
Furthermore, sources noted that concluding the ongoing investigation into a recently intercepted Hezbollah truck laden with explosives could push Lebanon to the brink of a severe political and security escalation.
In response, Hezbollah sources stated that the organization would only accept transferring the case file to the military court to avert further escalation. The Lebanese military court is widely regarded as lenient toward Hezbollah.
