Yoseph Haddad's move towards Ofer Winter's party: "End of an era"

Following the report by our correspondent Avraham Hasson on Channel 14 regarding negotiations for his joining the new party of Brig. Gen. (res.) Ofer Winter, advocacy activist Yoseph Haddad announced this morning (Sunday) that he is stepping down as CEO of the organization "Together, Arabs for Each Other," which he founded more than eight years ago.

In a post he published, Haddad wrote that he is ending his role "with a heavy but complete heart" and is setting out for "new goals." According to him, the organization he established with his partners was intended to promote integration and Israeli partnership within Arab society, and to voice "a different Arab voice" of pride in both Arab and Israeli identity simultaneously.

Haddad reviewed the organization's activities over the years, including advocacy delegations around the world, activity on campuses, pro-Israel demonstrations in world capitals, as well as internal projects within Arab society, including making Holocaust remembrance accessible in the Arabic language and delegations to Poland.

His position will be filled by Lorina Khatib, who, according to Haddad, has been a partner on the path since the beginning of the activity. "I know that I am leaving the organization in good hands," he wrote, "and that it will continue to grow and expand and lead important and brave change."

Haddad's announcement comes against the backdrop of Winter's political preparations for the launch of his new party next Tuesday. As first published on Channel 14, Winter approached, among others, figures such as Lali Deri and Yoseph Haddad in an attempt to add them to his new list, which he plans to run independently in the upcoming elections.
