'The best footballer I have coached': High praise for Bruninho

Maccabi Haifa has high hopes for Bruninho, and on Monday, particularly high praise for the new signing arrived from Ukraine. Fran Fernández, coach of Karpaty Lviv, stated in an interview with 'Tribuna' that he considers the player to have exceptional qualities, even defining him as the best he has coached during his career.

'Bruninho is a special and very versatile footballer. I think he still does not fully believe in himself. If he had believed more in his abilities, in my opinion, he would already be playing in the top league in Spain, Italy, or any other country at the highest level. In terms of his qualities, he is the best footballer I have coached.'

The Spanish coach added that Bruninho still has areas where he needs to improve, but estimated that he is capable of going far: 'There are aspects where he must progress. If he does so, I am convinced that in the coming years we will see him in one of the leading leagues.'

Fernández also admitted that Karpaty is struggling to find a replacement for the 26-year-old player who left for Maccabi Haifa: 'It is very difficult to replace such a footballer. There are no players of this level on the market that we can add, both because of the situation in the country and because of the economic circumstances. We will have to compensate for his individual qualities through team play.'

At the same time, according to journalist Igor Burbas, Georgiy Yermakov is expected to undergo medical examinations tomorrow ahead of his move to Metalist Kharkiv. If no issues are discovered, he will sign a four-year contract with the club.
