Government to Approve Transfer of One Billion Shekels for "Urgent" Defense Procurement

According to the proposal, 850 million shekels will be transferred from funds designated in 2026 for investments in the technology sector. An additional 150 million shekels will be drawn from budgets reserved under previous government decisions that remained unallocated due to pending legal and professional procedures.
In addition, the government is set to approve today the appointment of Lior Haiat as Israel's ambassador to Italy. In this role, Haiat will also serve as a non-resident ambassador to Malta and San Marino, as well as Israel's permanent representative to the UN food and agriculture agencies.
