Nascimento, who recorded 22 wins in 29 professional fights, last competed in June.
The UFC organization announced that fighter Allan Nascimento has passed away at the age of 34. The Brazilian athlete, who competed in the flyweight division, reportedly died after suffering a cardiac arrest in his sleep.
In an official statement, the UFC reported that Nascimento was found unconscious on the morning of Monday, August 3. "Despite the efforts of the medical team called to the scene, his death was pronounced on the spot," the statement read. The organization expressed its deep sorrow: "Our thoughts and sincere condolences go out to Allan's family, his friends, his teammates, and his loved ones during this unbearably difficult time. He was a beloved fighter and a role model in the flyweight division."
Throughout his professional career, Nascimento maintained a strong record, winning 22 of his 29 bouts. His final appearance in the octagon took place this past June in Las Vegas, where he faced Mitch Raposo and lost via a split decision.
