The Turkish government has granted unprecedented permission for excavation and research on a mysterious structure near Mount Ararat, as initial findings reveal an exact match to the biblical description and deep cavities in the ground.

The Turkish government has granted official and unprecedented permission to conduct excavations and comprehensive research on the Durupinar structure near Mount Ararat, with the aim of proving that these are the authentic remains of Noah's Ark. An international research team will soon begin a series of in-depth tests at the site, using advanced scanning and imaging technologies, alongside non-destructive drilling and a special underground drone called 'Gopher', designed to map the cavities and structures buried deep underground.
The decision to approve the research comes after ground-penetrating radar scans conducted by the team in recent years, which revealed central cavities, tunnels, and angular structures deep in the ground. The researchers point to unique physical and chemical findings, including soil analyses showing different acidity, a high percentage of organic material, and increased potassium concentration. These findings provide a high level of statistical significance, about 95 percent, that the remains of ancient wood that underwent a decay process are buried at the site.
Measurements obtained at the site show that the length of the formation and the underground structure correspond exactly to the dimensions appearing in the biblical description of the Ark. In addition, hydrodynamic experts on the team note that the pointed shape of the formation facing up the mountain cannot be formed naturally by mud or rock flows, and reinforces the assessment that it is an artificial structure built by humans.
The mysterious structure, first discovered in the middle of the last century by a Kurdish shepherd after an earthquake and heavy rains, is located in the Ararat mountains region in Turkey. The current research, scheduled to begin later this year, is expected to provide initial findings as the data is processed, and to resolve the historical and scientific debate that has been going on for decades regarding the final resting place of the Ark.
