According to reports in Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei has not met with government members since the attack in February and has not appeared in public since his appointment. Rumors of a deterioration in his condition are circulating in Tehran, but there is no official confirmation.
Rumors about a deterioration in the health of the Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, are causing uncertainty among senior officials in Tehran. According to a report by the "Iran Wire" website, based on two sources close to the administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian, Khamenei has not met with any government members since the American attack on the Iranian leadership compound on February 28, in which his father, Ali Khamenei, and other family members were killed.
According to the sources, rumors are circulating at the top of the regime that Khamenei's health has deteriorated, and there is increasing talk about the possibility that he will die in the near future. However, Iranian authorities have not issued an official statement confirming or denying the matter, so at this stage, these are reports and leaks that have not been independently verified.
Since taking office as Supreme Leader in early March, Khamenei has not appeared at any public event and has not delivered a public speech. His media presence has been limited to a few written messages attributed to him and published in official media outlets. His continued absence has fueled speculation about his health.

One of the sources close to the Pezeshkian government claimed that none of the government members have yet met with Khamenei. According to him, his physical condition "is not good," and news of his death in the near future "would not be a surprise" to some political circles in Tehran.
These reports come after the Iranian president said that communication with Khamenei under the current circumstances is "very difficult." Alongside this, Pezeshkian claimed that the presence of the Supreme Leader helps maintain the decision-making process in state institutions.
In an interview broadcast on Iranian television, Pezeshkian also addressed Khamenei's involvement in the decision regarding understandings with Islamabad. According to him, the Supreme Leader informed members of the Supreme National Security Council that he opposes the agreement in principle, but would agree to accept it if it received the support of three-quarters of the council members.
Pezeshkian said that the proposal eventually received the support of 12 out of 13 council members, and consequently, Khamenei approved the decision in accordance with the agreed mechanism.
The Iranian president accused political elements of trying to exploit the issue to stir up internal disputes and achieve political goals. According to him, the focus on the subject is intended to create divisions rather than hold a substantive discussion on the content of the decision itself.
