Former CEO of AM:PM chain joins Gadi Eisenkot's party

Entrepreneur, businessman, and social activist Shirel Hogeg is joining Gadi Eisenkot's 'Yashar!' party to lead its government efficiency program for citizens.
Hogeg, a lifelong resident of Ofakim, brings years of management and business experience, having held several senior positions throughout his career, most recently as CEO of the AM:PM chain.
Since October 7, Hogeg has become a prominent voice in the public discourse regarding accountability for the attack and the need for systemic change. During the Hamas attack on Kfar Aza, his sister, Dr. Elay Hogeg, and her husband fought for their lives, sustained injuries, and managed to escape the kibbutz with their infant daughter. Following these events, Hogeg campaigned for the establishment of a state commission of inquiry to investigate the October 7 disaster.
The party states that Hogeg will lead a program focused on streamlining government operations, improving decision-making processes, and integrating management, innovation, and entrepreneurship tools into public systems.
Party chairman Gadi Eisenkot said:

Eisenkot described Hogeg as "an Israeli success story and a model of leadership," highlighting his management experience and execution skills. According to Eisenkot, streamlining government services is essential for the rehabilitation of the State of Israel and for restoring public trust in the government.
Hogeg stated that he joined the party because he believes it is time to introduce a "spirit of responsibility, professionalism, and action" into state systems. He emphasized that "the citizen is not a disturbance, but the reason for the existence" of public service.
Hogeg added that he will present his program in the coming weeks, focusing on introducing Israeli excellence and innovation into government ministries and turning decisions into concrete actions on the ground.
Hogeg joins a group of senior officials and public figures already in 'Yashar!', including former Shin Bet head Yoram Cohen, economist Shaul Meridor, former minister Matan Kahana, former Knesset member and minister Orit Farkash-Hacohen, Major General (res.) Kamil Abu Rokon, and head of the South Sharon Regional Council Oshrat Gani Gonen.
