Using pepper spray: Ashkelon man robs Yavne gas station

A resident of Ashkelon in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of robbing thousands of shekels from a gas station in Yavne. The suspect allegedly used pepper spray against a clerk in the station's convenience store. The Israel Police stated that the suspect was apprehended following an investigation and a manhunt launched immediately after the report of the robbery.

Officers from the Yavne station arrived at the scene, opened an investigation, and utilized investigative tools that led to the location of the suspect. During the arrest, evidence was seized that links the suspect to this incident and several other criminal acts.

The suspect was transferred for questioning and will be brought before a court to request an extension of his detention in accordance with the needs of the investigation. The police stated that they will continue to act firmly against violence and property crimes.
