Loan deal for Omer Niron from Maccabi Netanya to Maccabi Haifa agreed
The goalkeeper's entourage is convinced he can compete with Omri Glazer for the starting position. The 'Greens' continue to try to resolve the foreign player logjam.
The loan deal for Omer Niron to Maccabi Haifa has been finalized, and the player will sign with the 'Greens' in the coming days. After undergoing comprehensive medical examinations, Niron agreed to his terms and will serve as the backup goalkeeper to Omri Glazer, with his entourage convinced that he can seriously compete with the national team goalkeeper for the starting spot.
Niron has not played since the end of January due to a shoulder injury, but has completed his rehabilitation and has recently been training on the side at Maccabi Netanya, with his entourage clarifying that he will be able to take part in the 'Greens' training sessions immediately. This is a loan deal with an option to purchase at the end of the season for a sum of 1.8 million shekels.
Besides Niron, Haifa would like to strengthen with a player in the number six position, and in recent times attempts have been made to add the Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo. The player, who became a free agent after leaving the Spanish club Oviedo, expressed a desire to join the 'Greens', but at this stage, the major logjam regarding foreign players significantly reduces the chances of a deal with the midfielder who played in the World Cup with the Ghana national team.
Haifa will need to release both Pedrao and Peter Agba in order to add another foreign player. Currently, they are struggling to part ways with the midfielder, which, as is known, prevents the registration of Andrija Novakovich among the foreign players.
