Captivity survivor Elkana Bohbot and his wife Rivka welcomed their daughter this morning, Friday, a little sister to their firstborn son, Raem. Bohbot, who returned from Hamas captivity after 738 days, wrote:

"A Psalm of thanksgiving. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."

The exciting news comes after Bohbot, one of the producers of the Nova party, was released last October after almost two years in Hamas captivity. This ordeal took a heavy toll on him and his family, while throughout the entire time his family, led by Rivka and his mother Ruchama, fought for him. The couple announced the pregnancy last April, when Rivka wrote at the time: "Our story is not over yet, it continues to grow."

Three weeks earlier, Elkana celebrated his birthday, and Rivka wrote to him: "Sometimes I think that our love, after everything we have been through, is no longer innocent, it is brave. It is a love that knows fear, absence, uncertainty… and yet chooses to stay. We do not have all the answers, but we have something more important: time. Time to rebuild, to heal, to laugh again without guilt, to learn who we are now."
