PSG star responds to allegations: "There is a God, He will do justice"
Investigative journalist Romain Molina published a report regarding the entourage of 18-year-old PSG talent Ibrahim Mbaye, claiming his parents made excessive demands to agencies. The footballer responded emotionally on social media, dismissing the claims as slander.
The latest publication by investigative journalist Romain Molina touched on the entourage of Ibrahim Mbaye, the 18-year-old talent of Paris Saint-Germain and the Senegal national team, and especially his parents.
Molina claimed that the parents set unusual demands for agencies that sought to represent the footballer, until they finally signed with super-agent Jorge Mendes. According to his publication, they demanded, among other things, 50% of the commissions and 50% of their son's image rights, in addition to being present at all negotiations. They also requested funding for family projects, the establishment of academies in Senegal, the construction of a hospital, investments in various companies, and more.
The publication naturally caused a great stir, and Mbaye could not remain indifferent to the wave of headlines. On his Instagram account, he wrote last Sunday:
"It amazes me to see how far people are capable of slandering me and my family... but it's okay, there is a God, and He will do justice with these people. Still, it's funny to see how far people can go. Mom, Dad, I love you."
In Arabic, he added: "There is no power and no strength except in God."
Mbaye scored three goals in 29 matches in all competitions for Paris Saint-Germain last season. At 18, he already has two consecutive Champions League titles, two league championships, and a French Cup, as well as titles such as the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup. In the World Cup, he scored the consolation goal in the loss to France, and in total, he has four goals in 15 matches for the Senegal national team.
