Social media star decided to enter a midrasha in honor of the month of Elul
Social media star Sivan Toledano, who shares her process of returning to religion, revealed yesterday (Monday) that in honor of the month of Elul, she decided to move into a midrasha: "I wanted a spiritual leap in Elul, I had a dream to enter a midrasha." According to her, the thought of changing her daily routine significantly was not simple. "It was very challenging to think about it, I am giving up my conditions and my corner – to live together with girls, obviously not in the conditions I live in," she said.

Later, she expressed gratitude for the blessed opportunity to absorb holiness precisely during the month of forgiveness and mercy:
"How much gratitude I have to the Creator of the world that I reached a place in life that interests me and I want and can enter a midrasha. To absorb the Torah at a very high level in the month of Elul. This is true self-sacrifice."
She further added that the steps she is taking now are part of something much larger: "This is going to contribute to the person I want to be and the home I will have. I want to absorb this work on character traits, I know that God is happy with this."
According to her, she received a particularly strengthening insight that connected precisely to her decision:
"In one of the classes at the midrasha, Rabbi Reich said something amazing: 'When a person bends the material for the benefit of the spirit, only then do they build themselves. You don't need to break the material, only bend it. We need the material – just in the right way'."
According to her, the sentence illustrated for her the choice to enter the midrasha. "It is not easy for me to break habits, but the bending of the material for the benefit of the spirit is a huge gift that is accompanied by true self-sacrifice," she said.
Toledano, who originally resides in the USA, is in the process of returning to religion. Videos she shared online garnered hundreds of thousands of views, including recommendations for kosher restaurants, preparations and cooking for the holy Sabbath, and stylish modest clothing. Her parents, Itzik and Liat Toledano, are the founders and managers of BH Group – a large private real estate company in South Florida, engaged in the development and construction of luxury projects.
