The saga has ended: The final list of candidates for the Likud has been published

The Likud party published today, Thursday, the final list of candidates ahead of the primaries taking place this coming Monday. The publication follows the withdrawal of all petitions last night, ending a complex legal crisis that threatened to postpone the movement's internal elections.

All incumbent Knesset members and ministers will compete on the party's national list, except for those who have left the movement, including Yuli Edelstein and Dan Illouz. Additionally, Knesset member Eliyahu Revivo decided this morning not to present his candidacy in the upcoming primaries, and thus he will not be included in the party's final list.

Alongside incumbent members, new candidates who received special approval this week from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to shorten the required seniority period will compete on the national list. Among the prominent names running are Deputy Minister Almog Cohen, Channel 14 panelist Dror Kapach, Shay Kalach, and Eli Shtivi. Conversely, Smadar Mores will not compete on the "New Woman" list, having decided to withdraw her candidacy.
