The world war inside the White House has only just begun: "It is growing"

Amos Harel (Haaretz) and Dr. Col. (res.) Michael Milstein, a former senior official in Aman, discussed this morning, Sunday, on 103FM the situation in the USA against the backdrop of the ongoing campaign against Iran and the Revolutionary Guards. "As this war becomes more complicated, the amount of leaks from within the administration is growing," noted Harel.

He added:

"This is not a new phenomenon; after all, this is how things have been managed around Donald Trump for years. Here we literally see mutual accusations and internal battles intended to shift responsibility within the administration. To this is added the growing American difficulty. There is a certain irony of fate here because Donald Trump's first political statements were in the early 2000s when he expressed reservations about the entanglement of the Bush administration in Afghanistan and Iraq."

He also claimed: "It seems that the USA is sinking into a war in Iran that it cannot win; it is dragging on contrary to all expectations, and this creates difficulties in the inter-power struggle. We see that both China and Russia are taking advantage of this, and the USA has to divert resources to the Middle East. There is a second side here that is watching and trying to profit from the American difficulties."

Afterward, Milstein provided his approach regarding the tripartite defense agreement between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan:

"We are not at the center of this event, but it is supposed to create discomfort for us. The Mecca agreement is an axis between Saudi Arabia, which is the driving force, and Pakistan and Turkey. It reflects several things that are supposed to bother us. One, there is a lack of trust in Donald Trump here. Countries are not sure that Donald Trump can provide us with protection all the time, so let us provide protection for ourselves. Two, despite the unclear defense alliance, there is a statement here that we prefer a settlement in the region and not another war. The goal of the alliance is to deter Iran and not to cause a total conflagration. The third thing, and it is related to us, is that ultimately when Turkey deepens its influence in the region, the meaning is that Israel has more challenges here."

"After the 'Lion's Roar', they talked about a new architecture in the region, new alliances and coalitions, so it turns out that it is happening, but exactly the opposite of what Israel wanted, so we should be worried about this matter. And also Gaza, Turkey is constantly trying to send arms to Gaza. Although Turkey is a challenge for Israel, Turkey is not a sworn enemy; one must demonstrate political and diplomatic capabilities here in the face of such a challenge, because since we have not closed any arena or front, we should not create more and more new threats for ourselves," he added.
