The companies promise automatic cashback, increased point accumulation, and attractive sign-up gifts, but an in-depth consumer comparison reveals that without knowing the fine print, drivers might find that the money they accumulated is completely erased or blocked for use at the pump. We put the 5 leading apps in Israel to the test – Yellow (Paz), Joe Delek Club (Delek Israel), Sonol (Sonol Energy), Dor Alon, and TenApp (TEN) – to find out which is the most cost-effective.

Yellow App (Paz)

How to accumulate? The Paz app allows for the accumulation of 10 agorot per liter of fuel at every refueling, as well as 10% of the purchase amount in yellow stores (on food and beverage products only).

The fine print: Accumulation from refueling is limited to 30 NIS per quarter. It is not possible to accumulate money on non-food products, cigarettes, tobacco, services, or cash withdrawals. Online accumulation on yellow.co.il requires saving credit card details.

Redemption threshold: You must reach a minimum of 50 NIS per quarter to redeem. If not reached, the balance is erased at the start of the next quarter. Once the wallet is opened, funds are valid for two years.

Where to redeem? Beyond the yellow chain, funds can be redeemed at Super-Pharm, Super Yuda, and in the Wolt app.

Joe Delek Club (Delek Israel)

How to accumulate? The club allows for the accumulation of digital coins: 10 agorot per liter of fuel, 10% of the purchase amount in Joe Delek stores (excluding tobacco), 10% of electric charging, 10% in Burger King, and 10% on the Cafe Joe website (excluding shipping).

The fine print: Accumulation is limited to 30 NIS per channel per period. Coins cannot be redeemed for fuel, electric charging, or tobacco products. The club is not valid at physical Cafe Joe branches.

Redemption threshold: The accumulation period is 4 months. The wallet opens upon reaching 50 coins. Funds are valid for two years.

Sonol App (Sonol Energy)

How to accumulate? A point system called "goods": 1 good per liter of fuel and 1 good per 1 NIS spent at Sogood stores.

The fine print: Payment must be performed using the mobile app.

Redemption threshold: There is no blocked wallet threshold. Customers use goods to purchase coupons and discounts in the app. Points are saved for ongoing use.

Dor Alon App

How to accumulate? The app does not feature a digital wallet, focusing instead on coupons and point discounts for immediate use at Alonit convenience stores.

How to save? Permanent discounts are available via external payment methods like the You credit card (Diners) or the Cello fuel card. Purchases yield a cashback paid via physical check every 3 months.

TenApp (TEN)

How to accumulate? Two tracks: Cashback (10 agorot per liter of fuel, 10% in stores) or inherent discounts on the monthly invoice.

The fine print: The wallet limit is 500 NIS. Tobacco products are excluded.

Redemption threshold: The lowest threshold among all apps—only 10 NIS. However, funds expire on January 1st of the following year.
