At Maccabi Haifa, the club is forced to recalculate its path in the transfer window following the blow suffered by the team due to the severe injury of Manuel Benson. The incident in the Toto Cup match shuffled the deck for the professional staff, who decided to freeze the planned arrival of midfielder Kwasi Sibo and divert all resources in favor of signing a foreign winger.

In Haifa, the club decided to pull out a pre-prepared pool of candidates and accelerate negotiations with potential wing players. On the other hand, Sibo, who was already on the verge of signing and even showed flexibility in his financial demands, remained very disappointed by the development. The only way the Ghanaian might still arrive at the 'Greens' is in the event of the departure of defender Pedrao; however, the club is highly doubtful that the midfielder will agree to wait for these developments.

The wave of frequent injuries, which began with the injury of Feinzicht and has now continued with Benson, puts the Maccabi Haifa system to a difficult test of improvisation. Despite the repeated upheavals in the squad building plans, in Haifa they clarify that they will not use these circumstances as an excuse. Now, it remains to be seen whether the club's management will succeed in landing a worthy reinforcement on the wing quickly, before the transfer window closes.
