Hapoel Tel Aviv completed an impressive victory this evening (Thursday) in the Conference League qualifiers, defeating Ludogorets 0:2 at the DVTK Stadium in Hungary in the first of two matches. Elyaniv Barda's team returned to Europe after 12 years and secured an important advantage ahead of the second leg, which will take place next week in Bulgaria. Omri Altman headed the ball in beautifully in the 45th minute, following an assist from Stav Turiel, and in the 89th minute, Chico sealed the deal from close range.

"I think we were more compact. We showed more desire, we were more determined. We played a better game and missed big opportunities. But the work is not finished yet, and we have a mission to complete in the second leg in Razgrad. We respect Ludogorets, they have many quality players. I hope we will manage to eliminate them," summarized Andrian Kraev.

Regarding the Hapoel Tel Aviv fans, he said: "There is no debate at all regarding our fans. They are the most basic and important part of the club. One can only regret that we are not playing in Tel Aviv — there could have been a crazy atmosphere there. I want to thank them and make them happy with success."

Ahead of the second leg, he added: "I expect a completely different game in Razgrad. Ludogorets has nothing to lose, and therefore they will come out aggressive and attacking. A two-goal lead is a good lead, but we must not concede. If we manage to get through the first minutes without conceding, we will have great chances to advance."

Later, he also addressed the progress of Hapoel Tel Aviv: "Since last season, we have been returning this club to a path that fits its glorious history. Everyone here is highly motivated ahead of Europe; these are the big games that every player wants to play in."
