Israeli Creator Builds AI Platform Kolbo.AI, Reaching $92,000 in Monthly Revenue
Israeli entrepreneur Zohar Vanunu launched Kolbo.AI, an all-in-one generative AI platform generating $92,000 in monthly revenue without employees. Operating amid reserve military duty, Vanunu combines technical automation with human creative direction.

When generative artificial intelligence tools first emerged, Zohar Vanunu realized his career as a videographer and video editor was facing an existential threat. Having taught himself animation and 3D design, he reached monthly revenues of about 100,000 shekels at his peak. However, seeing what Midjourney could generate in seconds changed everything. Today, the 29-year-old entrepreneur from Moshav Mivtahim near the Gaza border runs Kolbo.AI, a platform aggregating leading AI models for image, video, music, and voice generation. Revenue reached $92,000 last month, growing from $62,000 and $36,000 in the preceding months, all managed entirely without salaried employees.
Building Kolbo.AI with AI
Vanunu's professional journey began in music and video production, where he shot and edited prominent Israeli music videos and commercial projects for leading artists. As the war broke out, coupled with extensive reserve military duty exceeding 300 days, he began losing traditional clients. Faced with disruption, he leveraged his firsthand frustrations working with fragmented AI software to build Kolbo.AI. He initially built the prototype using Lovable, a natural language app development service, after winning a 48-hour development challenge by coding nearly 18 hours a day. Although he briefly hired an outsourced software agency, he quickly parted ways with them to run the entire operation independently.
The Future of Hybrid Production
Kolbo.AI combines top-tier generative models with specialized agent workflows designed to eliminate repetitive administrative tasks for creators. Subscriptions start at $27 per month, alongside one-off credit packages from $15. Vanunu notes that seasoned creative professionals maintain a distinct advantage because AI amplifies their direction, taste, and storytelling capabilities. While challenges remain in generating nuanced human humor and complex character dialogues, Vanunu views AI giants not as competitors, but as infrastructure providers that continually empower independent creators and lean marketing teams.
