Kimmarie Johnson, Actress and 'Beverly Hills, 90210' Alum, Dies at 50
American actress and model Kimmarie Johnson, known for "Beverly Hills, 90210", has died at 50 following a cardiac event. Her sudden passing at a Los Angeles hospital follows a diverse career in television, independent film, and fashion entrepreneurship.

American actress and model Kimmarie Johnson, best known for her appearance in the iconic youth series "Beverly Hills, 90210", has passed away at the age of 50. According to media reports citing TMZ, Johnson died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after being hospitalized following a cardiac event at her home last week.
Her niece, Ronda Scott, confirmed the passing, stating that Johnson fell ill at her Los Angeles home on October 27 due to a cardiac event and was rushed to the hospital. During examinations, doctors diagnosed a heart aneurysm. She spent over a week hospitalized before her heart stopped on Wednesday afternoon. According to her family, she passed away peacefully.
Johnson began her career in acting and modeling during the 1990s. In 1998, she made a guest appearance in the ninth season of the hit youth drama "Beverly Hills, 90210". She subsequently appeared in the television series "V.I.P." starring Pamela Anderson and in the 2000 Hollywood comedy "Dude, Where's My Car?" alongside Ashton Kutcher and Jennifer Garner.
Transition to Production and Entrepreneurship
Following the birth of her son Cameron in 2003, Johnson slowed down her acting career before returning to independent film productions and theater. Alongside her acting work, she ventured into film production, serving as an executive producer for the 2005 independent film "The Last Eve", which won awards at various indie film festivals. In 2011, she launched her own skincare brand, SkinGlow by Kimmarie.
In recent years, Johnson remained active in the fashion industry. Just last August, roughly three months before her passing, she graced the cover of the Slovenian edition of Grazia magazine. Her sudden death comes as she continued to pursue her professional endeavors as both a model and an entrepreneur.
The entertainment world has previously bid farewell to other notable alumni from "Beverly Hills, 90210". In 2019, Luke Perry, who portrayed Dylan McKay, passed away at the age of 52 following a stroke. In July 2024, Shannen Doherty, who played Brenda Walsh, died at 53 after a prolonged battle with cancer, leaving behind a lasting legacy from the cultural phenomenon of the 1990s series.
