Instead of celebrating a happy birthday with balloons and gifts, Yarden Bibas shared a painful and tear-jerking post about the longing that does not let go, the emptiness that remains, and the loneliness that only continues to intensify.

The days that combine public and personal dates always bring a sting to the heart, but for Yarden Bibas, every birthday that was supposed to be celebrated with joy and smiles becomes a painful reminder of a reality that was cut short. In an emotional and unfiltered post he published on social media, facing the pure and smiling picture of his son Ariel, Yarden recounted his difficult feelings while sitting in the only place where he feels close to his family.

"Instead of celebrating your birthday, instead of going with mom to buy things for your birthday party, I am sitting here next to you, in the only place where I feel closest to you," Yarden wrote with a deep pain that goes straight to the heart. In his words, he shatters the well-known cliché about the passage of time: "Time does not do its work and the days do not become easier, the longing grows from day to day and the feeling of loneliness and lack only strengthens."

Yarden describes the unbearable contrast between a world order that continues to exist as usual, and the internal abyss that accompanies him at every step. "The days pass, the sun still rises every morning and sets every night, and life continues to be empty and without much meaning. Everything enjoyable feels empty and hollow. In everything I do, I cannot help but think of you and how it could have been much more enjoyable with you."

Yarden's words are signed off with the most distilled statement of fatherly love that is unconditional:

"I hope you know that I would give up everything for one more small moment with you. I would give up my life if it would bring you back."

The raw and painful letter sparked within a few minutes a huge wave of hugs, tears, and support from tens of thousands of users, who were exposed again to the intensity of the tragedy and grief that accompany Yarden in his daily life, in moments that were supposed to be the happiest of his life.
