Itamar Ben Gvir shapes the Otzma Yehudit party list

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir is beginning to shape the Otzma Yehudit party list ahead of the closing of lists for the next Knesset elections. As part of the preparations, several new names are being considered to join the list with the goal of building a circle of trusted individuals around the minister. The move is intended to strengthen the faction and prevent the possibility of Knesset members defecting or the recurrence of similar cases from the past.

Among the prominent names being considered these days is the minister's legislative advisor, Adv. David Bavli, alongside former chief of staff Hananel Dorfman. In addition, the inclusion of Bezalel Yaakov, a political strategist and panelist on Channel 14, who is very active in the public and media arena to strengthen the national narrative, is being examined.

At the same time, options are also being examined in the women's sector ahead of finalizing the list. Among the names on the agenda is Talik Gvili, and simultaneously, the name of May Golan is being considered following the results of the Likud primaries, with the goal of transferring the public and political support that stood behind her to Otzma Yehudit.

Minister Ben Gvir informed Hadar Muchtar that she will not be on the Otzma Yehudit list for the upcoming Knesset. The minister told Muchtar that he appreciates her and that he foresees her reaching public positions in the future, but recommends that she study the work of the Knesset at this stage and arrive more prepared in the future.

The minister's office stated:

"We are happy about the curiosity surrounding the Otzma Yehudit list, which, according to all polls, is expected to strengthen even further and be very significant in the right wing. Soon we will reveal our strong team. Until then, we recommend not getting dragged into spins and rumors."
