Israel Railways Announces Temporary Nighttime Schedule Changes in Yavne Area
Israel Railways announced temporary overnight schedule changes and free shuttle buses due to track infrastructure work in the Yavne area affecting Ashkelon and Herzliya lines.
Israel Railways has announced temporary schedule changes due to overnight infrastructure work on the tracks in the Yavne area. The maintenance will take place strictly during night hours on Monday (October 5) and Tuesday (October 20), starting from 22:00 until the end of train services on those days. During these hours, travel routes in the Ashkelon, Ashdod, Yavne, and Rishon LeZion areas will be affected.
According to the updated schedule, trains on the Ashkelon-Binyamina line will originate and terminate at the Lod and Rehovot stations. Simultaneously, trains on the Beersheba-Herzliya line (passing through Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim) will operate on a split schedule: one section will run between Beersheba Center and the Netivot and Ashkelon stations, while another section will operate between the Yavne West and Rishon LeZion stations and the Herzliya station. Additionally, train number 673 departing from Herzliya at 20:19 will terminate its route at the Rishon LeZion Moshe Dayan station instead of Ashkelon.
To assist passengers during the work hours, Israel Railways will operate a complimentary shuttle bus service at the affected stations. Train traffic is expected to resume regular service at 04:30 the following morning. Passengers are advised to check the Israel Railways application, official website, or customer service hotline in advance to plan their journeys accordingly.
