Jaffa Festival, Oud Concerts, and Breuer-Weil Exhibit Highlight Israel's Cultural Season
Israel's cultural calendar highlights major events this November, featuring the new 'LeChol HaRuchot' festival in Old Jaffa, the International Oud Festival in Jerusalem, and British artist David Breuer-Weil's debut solo exhibition in Tel Aviv.

Israel's cultural scene is set for a vibrant autumn as major festivals and exhibitions launch across Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. From street-theater performances in ancient alleyways to international musical collaborations and world-class contemporary art, the upcoming weeks offer diverse cultural experiences.
Simta Theater Takes to the Streets of Jaffa
HaSimta Theater in Tel Aviv-Jaffa is launching "LeChol HaRuchot" (To All Winds), a new festival running from November 5 to 7 that brings original performances out of traditional halls and into the alleyways, galleries, and historic spaces of Old Jaffa. The festival features eight new original works, including theater, dance, music, and performance art. Notable acts include Yael Poliakov and Ilan Peled in a special Shakespearean performance created for the festival, along with Efrat Ben Zur, the Witariti band, and drag artist Alita Vintour. The event heralds HaSimta's return to its historic home in early 2027 following a three-year renovation.
International Oud Festival in Jerusalem
Jerusalem is hosting the International Oud Festival from November 5 to 12 at the Jerusalem Theater, the Khan Theater, and the Confederation House. Following a sellout for the opening night featuring Dudu Tasa and Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, organizers have added a matinee performance for Friday, November 6. The duo will perform classic Arabic love songs from their joint project alongside tracks from Tasa's "Al-Kuwaitiyyun" albums. Artistic director Effie Benaya has curated 16 performances bridging Middle Eastern musical traditions, featuring artists such as Shlomi Shaban hosting Mark Eliyahu and the Kadosh brothers, Avi Belleli in a tribute to Ahuvah Ozeri, and the band Teapacks performing with the HaHapla vehaHora orchestra.
David Breuer-Weil's "Unity" Exhibition in Neve Tzedek
British artist David Breuer-Weil, renowned for his monumental paintings and sculptures, is opening his first solo exhibition in Israel. Titled "Unity" and curated by Gregory Baker, the exhibition runs from November 4 to December 4 at the Sheinman & Wolf Gallery in Tel Aviv's Neve Tzedek neighborhood. The showcase explores human connection, identity, and belonging through works including the "Home" series created after the return of hostages, the monumental painting "Morning" addressing the events of October 7, and "I Shall Go," which reflects on the future of British Jewry amid rising antisemitism.
