Prominent Israeli journalist and television personality Guy Maroz, widely known for his left-wing political views and long-standing professional partnership with Orly Vilnai, is launching a new documentary series titled "Guy Maroz Returns with an Answer" in Israeli media. The debut episode, airing tonight at 22:30 immediately following the show "The Patriots", features a face-to-face encounter with National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir in Hebron.

In a promotional video released ahead of the premiere, Maroz reflected on his complex relationship with the minister: "Today at 22:30, right after 'The Patriots', a new series premieres called 'Guy Maroz Returns with an Answer'. The first episode is my meeting with Itamar Ben Gvir in Hebron. Ben Gvir was the person I once wrote about that if he became a minister in the Israeli government, I would leave the country—I didn't do that. To this day, he still scares me a little, but it was an entertaining meeting."

The newly released promo teases intense moments, including Maroz telling the minister, "Itamar Ben Gvir embodies almost everything that scares me in this country," and pointedly asking him, "At the moment you heard Rabin was assassinated, what went through your head?". Despite their ideological differences, Maroz admits in the footage that he has grown to somewhat like him, and provocatively concludes the promo by declaring, "This is the next prime minister of Israel."

Maroz frequently sparks debate with his outspoken commentary in Israeli media, where he serves as a distinctive left-wing voice among the conservative panel and audience. Recently, he also defended MK Ahmad Tibi amid criticism on the channel regarding Tibi's stance on Hamas, arguing that figures like Tibi and Ra'am leader Mansour Abbas face unfair and repetitive demands to prove their loyalty and condemn terrorism.
