The state broadcaster of Iran (IRIB) reported that the United States has allegedly targeted two Iranian fishing boats in the Persian Gulf. According to a senior official in the Hormozgan province, the incident took place near Qeshm Island, leaving two Iranian fishermen missing and a third injured.

At present, the reports rely entirely on Iranian sources, with no official confirmation or comment issued by Washington regarding the alleged maritime incident.

Meanwhile, Iranian leadership has signaled a hardening stance. Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei met with senior military commanders, instructing them to maintain maximum deterrence and smart combat readiness. Khamenei emphasized that Iran's armed forces would respond to any aggression without geographic limitations, stating that Tehran and the Iranian people would dictate the terms and timing of any future conflict conclusion.

Concurrently, diplomatic efforts are underway. Reports indicate a significant potential breakthrough in negotiations between Washington and Tehran, facilitated by Qatari and Pakistani mediation. According to the London-based outlet Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, an American delegation is expected to arrive in Doha, the capital of Qatar, for direct talks with Iranian representatives following mediation efforts led by Qatari officials who recently visited Tehran.
