Inon Megel on the controversy surrounding Avi Blout

During the 'Patriots' program on Channel 14, host Inon Megel sharply attacked the media, claiming they are manufacturing a storm out of nothing around Defense Minister Israel Katz and the commander of the Central Command.

The discussion heated up when panelist Itamar Fleishman demanded the removal of the commander, arguing that Defense Minister Israel Katz said there was no basis to appeal a court order, while the commander acted differently. Megel clarified that Israel Katz did not say he would remove the commander, and that the reports were false. According to him, "The minister did not say he would remove him," adding that "they are making a storm where there is no storm."

Megel also expressed personal appreciation for the Central Command commander, stating: "I appreciate Blout; I think he did great things. He fought terror hard during his tenure. There was very significant settlement activity in Judea and Samaria." He emphasized that despite his appreciation, "it is permissible for Katz to have criticisms of him," and that "it is permissible for the defense minister to think that he is not sufficiently aggressive." However, Megel sharply criticized the media: "Today they opened their newscasts with a removal in a live broadcast that did not happen. A removal in a live broadcast. How many times can they do this?"
