A fire broke out today, Thursday, during peak hours in the hotel and tourism district of Eilat at the Spiral complex. Six people were lightly injured and evacuated for medical treatment.

The fire started on the first floor of the well-known complex. While en route, firefighters from the Eilat regional station identified thick black smoke rising from the area. Upon arrival, they discovered that the fire had originated in a space used to store air conditioning units for adjacent shops. As a result of the blaze, a significant amount of smoke penetrated the retail units.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the source of the fire, conducted searches throughout the complex, and cleared the smoke from the shops. Simultaneously, a fire investigator from the Fire and Rescue Authority arrived at the scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

The Israel Fire and Rescue Authority noted that heavy traffic congestion occurred in the area during the emergency. "As a rescue agency, where every second can be critical for saving lives, we ask the public and drivers to be alert when emergency forces are passing. Please clear the route, stick to the right, and allow emergency and rescue vehicles free and safe passage so that they can arrive quickly at the scene and provide the necessary response."
