Against the backdrop of violence in the West Bank, the IDF officially addressed on Tuesday the events in the area of the villages of Qusra and Jalud, and strongly condemned the entry of Israeli citizens into homes and Palestinian territories and their takeover. The IDF defined the actions as "illegal, reprehensible, and unacceptable activity," and clarified that all those involved will be dealt with in cooperation with the security forces, and that if it is found that reservists or regular soldiers were involved, they will face disciplinary action.

In the official statement by the IDF Spokesperson, it was written:

"In recent weeks, a number of reports have been received regarding the entry of Israeli citizens into homes and Palestinian territories in the area of the villages of Qusra and Jalud, within the area of the Samaria Brigade, while taking them over. This is illegal, reprehensible, and unacceptable activity that harms the residents of the villages and their way of life."

Following this, and in light of receiving reports of public disturbances in the area, a closed military zone order was imposed in the area for those who are not residents of the place.

The IDF strongly condemns events of this type. The handling of all those involved in these events will be carried out in cooperation with the security forces. To the extent that it is found that reservists or regular forces in the IDF are involved in these events, they will face disciplinary action.

On Monday, an ambulance passage was coordinated in the Qusra area, in order to provide a response, through a military crossing to the area of the Palestinian home to which the closed military zone applies.

Upon the arrival of the ambulance at the crossing, IDF forces identified Israeli citizens inside it who tried to enter the closed military zone area under its cover. Consequently, the military force operating at the point performed a check on the ambulance, and subsequently, a check was performed by police officers of the Judea and Samaria District.

The IDF works on an ongoing basis to enable the movement of medical teams, including passage without inspection of ambulances that coordinate their movement in advance.
